The book I am bringing to you on this lovely Thursday is a booked called “Flawed Diamond" by author Perri Sullivan. They say that Diamond are made of pressure but how much pressure can you take before you crack? In this book author Perri Sullivan will be triggering every single emotion that we have. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride.
Before I dig in between the pages of this book let me introduce to you the main and supporting characters of " Flawed Diamond."
We always have people that are there to support us. Some are in for all the right reason and others are in for all the wrong reason. In this book you’ll find out just which characters are solid. Now, this leads me to the support characters in “Flawed Diamond”
Mama & Papa Starks
The Grandmother of Gentry Morgan and her boo than Mr. Henry
Vence and his hoe as frat brothers
The book starts off with a prologue that dates 1997 senior year. It is here that we are introduced to Maddox Starks. She has just been robbed of her most prized possession, but little does she know the people she trusted and wanted to be like had betrayed her in the worst way possible. Now, let me tell you something. Jealousy, is one hell of a drug and it will have the people you think you can trust the most doing some disloyal shit just so they can feel as though they are better than you, that they are more wanted than you, and to ensure that you stay below where they are at. There is no getting a head in their eyes Maddox takes us through a very details account of what she has gone through and honestly, I could see and feel every detail that the author describes in this book. This part of the book had me in tears and my emotions were all over the place. There is a lot to be said about this book but to keep from giving it away I am going to go ahead and let you know what I learn from this book.
In this book we learned that everyone can’t be trusted, we are loved by those that we least expect it from, somethings shouldn’t be so easily forgiven, women are a suckers for love, and we also learn what we already know which is a women scored is a man worst nightmare. It is important for us to love ourselves and accept our self for who we are because if not we will end up being like Maddox, Kellie and Kelis.
I give a round of applause to author Perri Sullivan, I loved her writing style, how the book read smoothly, and for the second time in a row I loved how well written the book was. From the very beginning this book had me hook, the character development was on point I just must disagree with Morgan being with the man that Robbed her of her innocence other than that everything else was A1.
Rating: 5 stars
